Our client, a local photography shop, came to us looking for a better understanding of the digital environment and sought an opportunity that would provide a greater than expected return on their advertising investment. Most importantly, they were looking to gather a substantial amount of new business leads through their advertising efforts.
After consulting with our client, we mutually agreed that a sweepstake promotion would be an excellent opportunity to achieve their goals. The sweepstakes offered a camera giveaway to one lucky winner, and was promoted on our news outlets, touting the giveaway, and inviting the audience to enter to win.
The digital display ads that were run offered an introduction to the offer and to the featured business. But the real results came when an email communication was sent to our readers. On December 3, an approximate 120,000 emails were sent to those who had opted into our communications in the past.
The sweepstakes gathered 2,764 individuals who entered to win the camera, and in just 3 weeks, this shop had 500+ new leads. They’d advertised their business to more than 120,000 people, and had digital display ads that described their business and its offerings.
That’s what we call a win/win.
