Rose Mendel is the Director of Communications at Advance Ohio, where she supports the content team by connecting readers to the stories that matter most. Mendel oversees all marketing and communications initiatives for cleveland.com, including branding, advertising and promotions, events, sponsorships and external affairs.

After spending nearly two decades developing marketing strategies to help businesses tell their story, Mendel drives conversions by ensuring the right message reaches the right audience at the right time.

Before joining our team, Rose was Director of Marketing for the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE), where she led the organization through a major re-branding initiative. She also has experience in brand management, digital marketing and product development.

Mendel holds a Bachelors of Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing from Kent State University.

She completed SOAR Women’s Leadership program and she has also received accolades including the ACCE Award of Excellence for Electronic Communications and the Greater Cleveland Partnership Catalyst Award.

Mendel resides in Avon Lake with her husband Bobby and daughter Ava.
